Browser Extension
One-click save from any page. The Reedle extension works on Chrome, Edge, and Brave — and any Chromium-based browser.
Install
- Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for Reedle
- Click Add to Chrome
- Pin the extension from the puzzle-piece menu (optional but recommended)
- Click the Reedle icon and sign in
Saving a page
While on any page, click the Reedle icon in the toolbar. The page is queued for processing. It appears in your Reedle inbox within a few seconds.
- Works on articles, blog posts, news, documentation, arXiv papers
- PDF links are extracted as full text
- YouTube pages save the transcript
Keyboard shortcut
Set a custom shortcut in chrome://extensions/shortcuts — search for Reedle and assign a key (e.g. Ctrl+Shift+R).
Right-click context menu
Right-click any link on a page and choose Save to Reedle to save the linked page without navigating to it.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| Extension icon grayed out | Sign in — click the icon and log in with your Reedle account |
| Page saved but empty | Some paywalled or JavaScript-heavy pages can't be extracted — try copying the URL into the Reedle app instead |
| Duplicate article | Reedle deduplicates by URL — saving the same URL again updates the existing article |
| Extension not working on a page | Some sites block extension access (e.g. Chrome Web Store itself) — this is a browser restriction |
